For the past 10 years, young women from across Michigan have explored the possibilities of life as travel writers. Girls in grades 4-12 have walked in the shoes of women pilots, authors, ambassadors, and more in a quest to discover their passion while serving as media for the Merze Tate Explorers. Charter members have served in the offices of the National Black Caucus in Washington D.C., Fulbright Scholar in South America, and even product photographer for Kellogg’s!

Celebrate the past 10 years of Explorers on International Day of the Girl! This event will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan, 601 W. Maple St., Kalamazoo, MI.
