Explorers Gift Wrapping Success! Uncategorized by Sonya Bernard-Hollins - December 28, 2021December 28, 20210 Thanks to our partners at the Crossroads Mall in Portage, Michigan, the Explorers had another successful gift-wrapping fundraiser! Our goal for our 5th year of fundraising was $6,000. While we were a bit short of the goal, we were very close, thanks to the Explorers, their families, and community members who contributed their time, and gifts to wrap for the effort. Our newest Explorers get in the Christmas spirit as they help wrap hundreds of gifts as part of our annual scholarship fundraiser at the Crossroads Mall in Portage, Michigan. Each year we have an opportunity to provide a service during the holiday season for the most dreaded task of the Christmas season—gift wrapping! Our Explorers have made this task fun and an opportunity to share our mission to help girls Explorer Possibilities Through Media! Whether sharing past study abroad adventures to Italy and Japan or sharing how our funds will help our sisters at the Wotesawa Domestic Workers Organization in Tanzania, the 6-day wrapping event is an annual treat. Again, thanks to all who came out to help! See you next year! Explorer alumna leads the efforts of our 5th annual Gift Wrapping Fundraiser for scholarships at the Crossroads Mall in Portage, Michigan.
