Explorers Meet PNC Foundation Leader Uncategorized by Sonya Bernard-Hollins - June 9, 2022June 9, 20220 KALAMAZOO (MICH.) – The Merze Tate Explorers is truly a community youth organization. For more than a decade, the student Explorers have met with hundreds of women who rock in their chosen careers. As Explorer travel writers meet phenomenal women, they enhance their communications skills as journalists. Through article writing, photography, and videography, students learn to bring a story to life to share with those in their community. One recent interview session featured Consuelo Shank, Client & Community Relations Director of PNC Bank, (southwest Michigan.) Explorer Aliah Ward served as a lead reporter as the travel writers asked Shank questions about her life, career, and dedication to community service. Students served as photographers and worked in teams to see which group could win the “Story of the Day.” The article selected will be featured in the summer edition of Girls Can!
